Ahhh....gotta love the underdog!

Know what stadium this is? Okay, don't hurt yourself....it's Kidd Brewer Stadium on the proud campus of Applachian State University in Boone, NC. 18,000 seats of raving fanatics for the reigning two-time Division IAA champion Mountaineers.

Okay, you know what stadium this is? Much easier right? It's the BIG HOUSE in Ann Arbor, MI @ The University of Michigan. Home to approx. 108,000 lunatic Wolverine fans and also the location of the greatest upset in Michigan history last weekend as The Mountaineers defeated the Wolverines 34-32. For those of you who don't really get the significance of this victory/defeat (whichever side you're on...) let me put it this way. Never, I'll repeat, NEVER has a Division 1AA football team EVER defeated a ranked Division I team in the HISTORY of NCAA football. To go a step further, Applalachian State has 45 scholarships, perhaps a handful of legit D1 guys on this squad (mostly D1 bouncebacks), and has a yearly budget that is probably on par with what the University of Michigan spends on their MARCHING BAND during ONE GAME WEEKEND. Moral of the story? "It aint the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog". Hats off to the underdogs!
Up next for Appalachian State.....a sold out home game against Lenoir-Rhyne. WHO??? Yikes!Probably what the Michigan fans were saying before last Saturday's kickoff huh.....
